About Five Fingers Rapids

Only accessible by water. There are a number of small yet interesting looking rapids and cascades in this area. The French River drops about 6 m through two channels. The shorter channel (about 150 m long) drops over one larger cascade. The longer channel drops loses elevation over at least 3 smaller rapids. Something about the name tells me that there is a fifth site (?).

This was the first web site in Ontario to inventory and map waterfalls for visiting. (See archives from 2003 , 2012 and 2018).
