A smaller falls just upstream of the marginally larger falls at Bonfield. It's not necessarily unattractive, but it is in the open, surrounded by manicured grass of Kaibuskong Park in Bonfield. A little footbridge upstream leads from an alternate parking area into the park.
The falls essentially ends under the concrete bridge holding up Maple Rd. At this point, the river makes an abrupt left turn and flows about 60 m to the lower falls. The sun was really harsh on the day that I took this image.
