Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.

This is a decent-sized waterfall that you can see, but not visit. Unfortunately, the waterfall is associated with the Wabagishik Generating Station that supplies power to INCO in Sudbury. Access (at least from land) is blocked by a chain link fence.

You are able to see the falls across the river, but from a distance from two locations. Neither is very good, and it's too bad, because this can be a good sized falls at times. The first vantage spot is from a rocky point about 100 m away and the second is from Janti Rd on the north side of the bay.

The view from Janti Rd is distant, and getting more difficult due to growing vegetation. Also, note that the land along Janti Rd is privately owned. You can see the falls by looking through these lands. I am not sure if there is public access to the river on this side.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
