A low falls that pours through a narrow, shallow notch during low to moderate flows. Evidence of periodic higher flows can be seen in form of the big mass of rounded bedrock on the left bank (looking downstream). Hgh flows will clear out any sediment that might accumulate in the nooks and crannies of the rock, preventing the establishment of permanent vegetation.

This is a remote falls that needs a long paddle to reach. For example, it's 20 km downstream from the Wanapitei River Falls site on Hwy 627 to Killarney. The trip from Hartley Bay Marina, on the French River system is half as far. Either way, you are looking at an overnight journey.

The driving directions button leads to the Hartley Bay Marina, just for convenience for those that might paddle this way.
