An interesting multi-part cascade at the southern tip of Horwood Lake. The river dumps into the lake by following several different channels depending on water levels. This is believed to be accessible by water only, although examination of aerial photography suggests that some trails (logging routes?) appear to be getting closer.
I was provided with this photo by Horwood Lake Lodge. This fishing lodge was established in 1953 and is found about 20 km north on the lake. Pickerel and Pike are abundant; if you decide to join them for fishing, be sure to ask for a ride to the falls! But, be prepared to pay for it; the falls are 25 km down the lake from the lodge!
